Clare Connell
Narrative Strategist & Communications Consultant.
After 15+ years in London’s brand and creative agencies, I wanted to work for something bigger than corporate campaigns. Becoming a parent made me more determined to do this – I wanted to contribute to creating a better future and turn inspiring ideas into mainstream reality.

In 2024 I completed an MSc (Hons) in Sustainability and Behaviour Change at the Centre of Alternative Technology, learning alongside a cohort of radical thinkers, artists, filmmakers, musicians and policymakers. I did a six-month research project in Jaywick Sands with the most wonderful community who completely reshaped how I see the world.
Since then, I have worked at the University of Essex on a public engagement programme, helped to launch a sustainable shoe brand and cargo bike scheme (including starting a bike bus) and worked on a podcast helping corporates to embrace more regenerative careers.
Now, I'm focused on helping organisations communicate the green transition – bringing together the best of brand and marketing with social change theory and behavioural science. The result is a human-centred, creative approach that uses storytelling and narrative strategy to help groups ignite change by really understanding what matters to people.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me on the Essex coast with my three children — or in the garden, listening to the birds.
